You Are Enough

Most of the shadows of this life are caused by standing in one’s own sunshine.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I writing today to state this one, single fact to all of you – You Are Enough.

Believe it or not, all we want and all we need is already within us.

We don’t need other people to make us feel loved or to feel good; we can do that all on our own.

Don’t look outside yourself for something that can only be found within. Because by doing so you will feel continuously lost, living your life feeling like there is something missing while not knowing exactly what it is that is missing.

Learn to love and accept yourself for who you are. Once you are able to do this your relationships will blossom and bring out the best in you.

Surrender. Be who you really are deep down inside and acknowledge that in this moment: You ARE enough, you KNOW enough and you HAVE enough. By chanting these words and believing these words, you will rediscover inner peace and happiness.

You are enough.

This does not mean that you have been measured, considered and judged, and that you finally earned the label of “enough.”

You are enough does not mean that you’ve worked long enough. That you’ve tried hard enough.

It is simply who you are. The you that you are IS ENOUGH.

You do not have to be more. You do not have to do more. You do not have to buy more. You do not have to do any of these things to be who you are meant to be.

You are simply enough.

You are enough does not mean that you are complete and finished. We are continuously growing, changing and learning things forevermore.

You are enough does not mean that you are all-powerful and perfect. You are enough does not mean that you are everything.

You don’t have to get everything, and you do not have to be everything. You don’t need to be self-sufficient either. You are allowed to need things and people.

Being enough means that you understand how much you do need, how small you are in this great grand universe – you don’t have to be one inch bigger than that.

Being enough does not meant that you never need help. When you know that you are enough, you know that it’s okay to ask for help. Knowing that you are enough, makes it easier to admit your weaknesses. Your imperfections and your difficulties do not reflect on your worth. You are already enough – just as you are.

We all make mistakes every single day. None of us are perfect. As long as you acknowledge them – see them – and know that they exist – that is enough.

Being enough does not mean that you are perfect. You are enough means that you were made to be you, as you are.

It is no mistake that you are you – this person, in this place, at this time. You are enough as you are, mess and all, beautiful and broken, showing up for your life every single day. That’s all you ever have to be and all you have to do. You are already enough.

You are enough means that you can grow and change and continue to become. You don’t need to prove yourself to anyone. Just be you.

You are enough means that you don’t have to strive to become more worthy, more valid, more acceptable, or more loved. You already are all of those things.

Yes, there are things that you might want to be more of – more open – more honest – more true – more authentic – more free – more connected – more intentional – more purposeful. Those are expressions of your enough-ness. They are not about changing yourself. They are about being yourself.

You were enough before, you are enough now, and you will continue to be enough as you become more of who you were made to be.

You are enough.

Don’t try to be what you think others want. Just be really good at being you.

You are enough. You are you. This thought process – will allow you to step fully into who you are in the world.

The wonder of it all—the more you are able to align with your whole self, the more the world rushes in to meet you where you are.

Here are a few things to always remember about you.

1. You are a miracle. Never forget this fact.

2. You are unique. No one will ever be as good at being you as you are.

3. You are enough. Always. Never doubt this.

4. There is always more to learn, but that is not failure; it’s a gift.

5. Every obstacle is an opportunity to fall further into the miracle that is you.

6. Commit to being the best version of you every day. Recalibrate the definition of “best” as needed.

7. Leave room for others when they fall off the wagon of their own miracle.

8. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive. Forgive every which way. Forgive him. Forgive her. Forgive you.

9. Compassion is the key to forgiveness. Compassion means you feel the humanity in others.

10.The more you forgive, the more you’ll enjoy being you, because the lighter your load will be.

11. In the end, as in the beginning: You. Are. Amazing.

Repeat these words to yourself over and over - as much as you need:

I am a miracle. I am unique. I am enough. I am amazing.

You surrender to a lot of things which are not worthy of you. I wish you would surrender to your radiance … your integrity … your beautiful human grace.” ~ Yogi Bhajan

Always remember that there is nothing about you lacking.

In this moment you are enough, you know enough, you have enough. You are a beautiful creation, a work in progress.

Scream it on the rooftops. Climb the highest mountain. Scream these words at the top of your lungs. I AM ENOUGH!

YOU ARE ENOUGH!
