TRUST & SURRENDER

The words "TRUST" and "SURRENDER" have been on my mind a lot this week. I've been meditating and journaling a lot about these words and thoughts. As I was meditating this afternoon, my daughter, Jennifer, popped into my thoughts. We've been on a similar journey, whether or not she realizes it.

About five years ago, Jen applied for a job in Georgia. She went to college in Iowa to be a Primatologist - working with gorillas and chimps - interning at a sanctuary for Bonobos. She graduated college in just three years and then raced to Cameroon, Africa to work at a Sanctuary where she raised chimps from infant, and worked with gorillas. She later moved on to work in Indonesia with Orangutans. After Indonesia, she really wanted this job working with Chimps in Georgia. I mean she wanted it so badly she could taste it. She didn't get the job, but instead got a job in Oklahoma, at a monkey sanctuary. It was an okay job, just not a part of her dream.

About a month ago she applied once again for a position at the chimp sanctuary in Georgia. Approximately two weeks after applying for the position, she interviewed and got the job! The next day she received a call that a house was available to rent. It all worked out without a fight, without stress, as if it were meant to be. There was no time for overthinking, although I'm quite certain she did. It was just the right time for her on her journey.

Next weekend, we make the drive from Oklahoma to Georgia, where she will begin her new life, her dream and her passion.

That's what "TRUST" and "SURRENDER" is all about. If you can dream it, you can become it. If you trust that your dreams will come true at the right time, and surrender to it - your dreams will be brought to life. If you dream it, you can build it.

Don't ever give up on your dreams or on your passions. Things always happen when they are supposed to. Surrender and Trust.
